Grade your statement of work in about a minute

Paste your SOW or choose a file. You get a letter grade, a scorecard across ten criteria, and the top fixes with wording you can paste back in. Free, no signup.

PDF, DOCX, TXT or Markdown, up to 10 MB.

Your perspective

The perspective changes how risks are framed: unpaid work for a vendor, vague commitments for a client.

We grade your document and then discard it. Nothing you upload is stored.

How it works

  1. Paste or upload

The text is read right in your browser. PDF, DOCX, TXT and Markdown, up to 10 MB.

  2. We grade it

Ten criteria, each scored 0 to 10: deliverables, acceptance criteria, exclusions, change control, timeline, payment, roles, assumptions, objectives and governance.

  3. You get the grade

A letter grade, the scorecard, your top three fixes with replacement wording, and the scope creep risks quoted from your document.

Frequently asked questions

Is CheckMySOW free?

Yes. Grading is free, with no signup, no email and no account. The site is supported by CommerceCopilot, a separate tool for running agency projects.

Is my document stored?

No. Your file is opened in your browser, and only the text is sent to be graded. We keep no copy of what you paste or upload. See the privacy page for exactly where the text goes.

What does the grade mean?

Your document is scored 0 to 10 on each of ten criteria, from deliverables and acceptance criteria to change control and payment terms. The weighted total out of 100 maps to a letter grade from A+ to F. The full rubric is published, and code turns the scores into the letter, so you can check how every grade is computed.

Does it work for a scope of work?

Yes. A scope of work and a statement of work are the same thing here, and the rubric checks either one the same way: deliverables, acceptance, exclusions and the rest.

Is this legal advice?

No. CheckMySOW checks how complete and tight a document is, like a sharp-eyed reviewer with a red pen. It is not a lawyer and not legal advice; for legal questions, ask a qualified lawyer.
